HYROX Finish Time Calculator
Station-by-station prediction · Quick Mode · Detailed Mode · Goal Mode · What-if Simulation
HYROX is one of the most complex fitness racing events to prepare for: 8 km of running split into 8 one-kilometre segments, each followed by a technical station with different loads depending on your category. A standard time calculator simply isn't enough - you need a station-by-station breakdown.
This tool uses benchmarks calibrated from thousands of official results. It automatically identifies your weak point (the station where you lose the most time compared to athletes at your level) and simulates the impact of improving any station.
All weights used match official HYROX standards (source: hyrox.com): Open Men, Open Women, Pro Men, and Pro Women. Doubles weights are identical to the corresponding Solo category.
Frequently Asked Questions about HYROX Finish Time
How is the total HYROX time calculated?+
Total HYROX time breaks down into three parts: running time (8 × 1 km at your pace), station time (8 timed technical stations), and transitions between the running track and each station (roughly 30 to 75 seconds each depending on your level). This calculator adds all three components together.
What are the official HYROX weights by category?+
Weights vary by category. Open Men: Sled Push 152 kg, Sled Pull 103 kg, Farmers Carry 2×24 kg, Sandbag Lunges 20 kg, Wall Balls 6 kg. Open Women: 102/78/2×16/10/4 kg. Pro Men: 202/153/2×32/30/9 kg. Pro Women: 152/103/2×24/20/6 kg.
How can I improve my HYROX time?+
The weak point analysis automatically identifies the station where you lose the most time relative to benchmarks. Typically, improving your most costly station by 10% yields a bigger time gain than improving your running pace by 5 sec/km.
What is the difference between Quick Mode and Detailed Mode?+
Quick Mode estimates your time from your pace and level, auto-filling stations with average benchmarks. Detailed Mode lets you enter your exact time for each station - ideal if you've already raced a HYROX or done station tests - for a much more accurate prediction.
What is the what-if simulation?+
The what-if simulation (available in Detailed Mode) lets you adjust each station's time from -30% to +30% and instantly see the impact on your total time. It's the ideal tool for planning your training focus and identifying where improvement has the highest payoff.
What is a good time for a first HYROX?+
For a first HYROX, a finish time between 1h15 and 1h45 is a solid target depending on your running background and overall fitness. The median Open finisher is around 1h20-1h30. Sub-1h is the territory of highly competitive athletes. This calculator lets you simulate a realistic goal by entering your running pace and estimated station performance.
How do you qualify for HYROX Pro category?+
HYROX Pro is open registration - there is no time-based qualification required. However, the weights are significantly heavier (e.g. Sled Push 202 kg for Pro Men). In practice, Pro participants typically have a sub-1h Open time or a strong functional strength background (CrossFit, powerlifting). This calculator simulates both categories so you can choose the one that matches your actual level.
